We are finalizing the WORKSHOPS for this weekend. There will be different art workshops for the kids to participate in. Space is limited -so sign up at the fair (first come/first serve) Demos/arting will start on the 1/2 hour so we can get as many kids started working on their creations and then stagger to start more 30 minutes later.

Here is a sneak peek at some valentines that you can silkscreen.

After watching hours of weather, shoveling some snow, polling the vendors and checking with the principal and the staff of Southmoor - We have decided that it is in the best interest of the shoppers, vendors and volunteers to POSTPONE the show. We ♥ Art will now take place SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11th from 10-3PM. Everything that you love at the fair, just one week later. Duffy roll pick ups will also take place on the 11th.

The snow chart matches all of our favorite Valentines colors. Fitting, but unfortunate.

We have 26 great local vendors ready for the 4th annual WE HEART ART Fair. We have many returning vendors and some new faces as well. We will be updating the vendors list to the right with links to the artisans blogs & websites. Keep checking in to find the newest info on the fair. We will have an update soon on the schedule of events. There will be giveaways, prizes and art workshops for the kids. Stay tuned.

This year is the 4th annual Artisan Fair at Southmoor Elementary. This year we have a new name. The fair is now and will from now on be called WE HEART ART! The fair will take place on FEBRUARY 4TH from 10am-3pm. Make sure you put it on your calendar so you can come out and support Southmoor and the local artists who are participating. Stay tuned to see a list of vendors.

ON SATURDAY we have some very special entertainment.

At 11am (SHARP) Trixie & Walter from Buntport Theaters TRUNKS show will be at the Artisan Market to perform for all of us. They are part of a local theater group that performs live comic book shows every other Saturday. They are a hoot.

And at 1pm there will be performers from Aerial Dance Over Denver. Be sure not to miss the demonstration.

This year, we will include 2 contests! Participate only if you’d like - no pressure here! - this is all in the spirit of Valentine fun! ;)

*Contest #1: Students, have fun designing and decorating your own version of a Valentine’s Card made especially for our fair! To enter, submit your completed card to the “Valentine’s Card Contest” box in the office no later than Tuesday, January 25th. Please write your full name on the back! All cards will be proudly displayed at the fair, but 5 winning cards will be selected (this will no doubt be very difficult!!!). The 5 artists will each win a token (please attend fair to collect prize) for our “Madam Sylvie’s Amazing Art Drop Machine”! This amazing machine resembles a gigantic gumball machine - the only difference is that it delivers hand made works of art enclosed in plastic capsules in- stead of gum — how fun!

*Contest #2: Students, parents, all fair attendees... come “Dressed for the Fest”. As the postcard says, we are encouraging everyone to don their festive, Valentine attire (elementary school appropriate, please!) to cele- brate the mood of the fair. A minimum of 5 winners will be chosen from attendees. You needn’t wear out- landish garb, something beautiful, something fun, something colorful...anything could strike the fancy of the judges! “Art Drop Machine” tokens will be given to the winners! If you are tapped on the shoulder and given a token while roaming the fair, YOU ARE A WINNER!!!
